The Standout Immersive Experience

crafted from the product itself

Deadgood’s new rug collection took centre stage at Clerkenwell Design Week with what organisers called a “must-see immersive installation.”
We transformed the product’s textures and movement into a wraparound LED experience, pre-visualised in 3D for sign-off, delivered spec-perfect, and designed for reuse beyond the event.

a brand new collection brought to life in a must see immersive installation

Clerkenwell Design Week

The Challenge

Deadgood needed an installation that would:

  • Stand out among dozens of competing activations.

  • Translate tactility into digital form — showing texture and movement in a way that felt true to the product.

  • Feel premium yet playful, in line with the brand’s tone.

  • Convince stakeholders quickly — visuals needed to be understood and signed off before the event space was even accessible, requiring a way to preview the installation in context.

The Approach

To meet the brief, we built a modular 3D animation system, crafted directly from Deadgood’s product textures and movements. Designed to scale effortlessly across the wraparound LED installation.

Pre-visualised in 3D

Faster approvals, smoother sign-off

We created a full digital replica of the event space so the client could see the concepts in situ and sign off with confidence before production. This meant decisions were made early, reducing risk and keeping the project on schedule.

Built Modular

Scalable assets, faster amends

Instead of one monolithic film, we designed seven looping motion modules. These could be remixed, recoloured, and scaled across different screen formats — allowing quick last-minute tweaks and efficient reuse beyond the event.

True-to-Product Fidelity

Designs that sell the product

We photographed rug samples and filmed them being folded and moved, then mapped this data into our 3D system. The result: visuals that carried the same tactile weight and movement as the physical product, ensuring the installation didn’t just look spectacular — it showcased the rugs themselves.

Reusable Beyond the Event

Seamless fit, versatile outputs

The motion system was built spec-perfect for the wraparound LED installation but designed with flexibility in mind. The same visuals could be adapted for digital campaigns, retail screens, and internal comms, extending ROI well beyond Clerkenwell.

The Outcome

Must-See Experience

Organisers highlighted the installation as the “must-see immersive experience” of Clerkenwell Design Week — positioning Deadgood at the heart of the event buzz.

Increased Product Interest

The bold installation drove heightened attention to the new rug collection, sparking more foot traffic, conversations, and visibility for the launch.

Reusable Assets with ROI

Our modular approach meant the same visuals could be repurposed across internal channels, digital campaigns, and future storytelling — extending the value far beyond the event.

Brand Elevated, Product First

Motion design amplified Deadgood’s presence while ensuring the physical rugs remained the hero — striking the balance between spectacle and sales.

Client Confidence, Ongoing Impact

Deadgood reported an “unreal” response from audiences, with enquiries continuing to roll in post-event — validating the impact of the investment.

Someone said to me that our recent Deadgood Rugs installation felt more Milan than Clerkenwell,

and that really stuck. The installation had presence. It carried the tone and texture of the collection with real clarity. Momographics understood the rhythm we needed and built something modular and versatile that’s continued to work hard for us across every channel. Smooth process. Confident result.
